1. Overview
Parentra ("Parentra," "we," "us," or "our") helps parents and caregivers track baby care routines, review patterns, and receive educational guidance and optional AI support. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By using Parentra, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who is responsible for your data
For purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), the data controller responsible for personal information processed through the Service is:

The controller is established in Türkiye. Because we serve users in Türkiye, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere, this Policy addresses both KVKK and GDPR. A dedicated KVKK disclosure is provided in Section 14.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, and profile details from Apple, Google, or email sign-in.
- Baby and caregiver profile data: baby name, birth date, age, feeding preferences, sleep preferences, onboarding answers, recommended sleep approach, and related settings you enter during setup or in the app.
- Care logs: feeding sessions, sleep logs, diaper changes, growth measurements, milestone notes, and parent notes.
- Media you upload: photos or videos attached to milestones or notes, stored in our cloud storage when you choose to attach them.
- Communications: messages you send us by email or support channels.
- Voice and AI interactions: if you use the AI coach, AI analysis, or voice features, relevant context (such as recent logs, the active program, and the questions or audio you submit) and the generated responses may be processed to provide those features.
- Community content: if you share a program to the community marketplace, redeem or generate a QR/share code, or post in the forum, we process that content together with the display name and profile details you choose to show to other users.
- Subscription and credit data: when you purchase a subscription or voice-coach credits, we and our subscription provider process purchase status, entitlements, product identifiers, and credit balances (billing itself is handled by the app stores).
Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device type, operating system, app version, language preference, and push notification tokens (FCM/APNs) if you enable notifications.
- Usage and diagnostics: basic operational logs, crash reports, and performance data needed to secure and maintain the Service.
- Local device storage: some preferences (such as notification settings, locale, or last-selected baby) may be stored on your device.
Information from others
If another caregiver invites you to a shared baby profile, we process the invite token or code you redeem and associate your account with the shared profile according to the permissions granted by the account owner.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account and baby profiles.
- Store, sync, and display your logs, notes, media, and shared caregiver access.
- Provide sleep guidance, daily insights, articles, reminders, and widgets.
- Operate AI and voice features using context from your profile and recent logs when you request them.
- Send push notifications and local reminders you enable.
- Process optional subscriptions or in-app purchases through app stores.
- Secure the Service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.
- Improve features and develop new functionality in aggregated or de-identified form where possible.
We do not use your child's health-related logs to sell personal information or to deliver third-party advertising inside Parentra.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on these bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you request, including account creation, logging, sync, and sharing.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, prevent fraud, and support users, balanced against your rights.
- Consent: where required for optional features such as push notifications, microphone access, photo library access, or certain AI/voice features.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we initiate deletion of your authentication record and associated user data, and remove or de-identify baby profiles you own, including related logs, notes, media, and invite records, using our server-side deletion workflow.
We may retain limited information longer where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup cycles, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and Firebase security rules for database access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for safeguarding your device and login credentials. Notify us promptly at support@parentra.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Device permissions
Depending on the features you use, Parentra may request:
- Notifications: to send sleep reminders or updates you enable.
- Microphone: for voice onboarding and voice AI features.
- Camera and photo library: to capture or select milestone photos and videos.
You can change permissions in your device settings. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.
10. Children’s information
Parentra is intended for use by parents and adult caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) for their own account registration.
Information about a baby or child is entered by a parent or authorized caregiver to support care tracking. If you believe we have collected information in violation of applicable child privacy laws, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including the United States and the European Union, where Firebase and other vendors operate data centers. When required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
- Export or receive a portable copy of your data where offered.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — for EEA/UK users your national supervisory authority, and for Türkiye the Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu / KVKK Board).
You can delete your account and its data directly in the app from the profile screen (this runs a secure server-side deletion), or email support@parentra.app to submit a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we respond within the timeframes required by GDPR and KVKK.
13. California privacy notice
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. Parentra does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

14. KVKK disclosure (Türkiye)
This section is provided in accordance with the clarification (aydınlatma) obligation under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK").
- Data controller (veri sorumlusu): Yusuf Koçer, İstanbul, Türkiye, reachable at support@parentra.app.
- Categories of personal data: identity and contact data (account and sign-in details), the baby profiles and care records you enter, media you upload, community and forum content, subscription and credit data, AI/voice interaction context, and device, usage, and diagnostic data.
- Purposes of processing: to create and operate your account and profiles; store, sync, and display your logs and shared caregiver access; provide sleep programs, insights, reminders, community, and AI/voice features; process subscriptions and credits; secure the Service and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
- Legal grounds (Articles 5 and 6 KVKK): performance of a contract (Art. 5/2-c) for core app functionality; our legitimate interests (Art. 5/2-f) for security, abuse prevention, and improvement; legal obligation (Art. 5/2-ç); and your explicit consent (açık rıza) where required, including for optional device permissions and certain AI/voice features and for transfers abroad.
- Recipients and transfers abroad: personal data may be transferred to the processors listed in Section 6 (including Google/Firebase, Adapty, and ElevenLabs), which operate servers outside Türkiye. Such transfers are made on the grounds permitted under KVKK, including your explicit consent and applicable safeguards.
- Method of collection: data is collected electronically through the app and website when you register, enter or upload content, use features, or contact us.
Under Article 11 KVKK you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information and correction, request deletion or destruction, object to results arising from automated analysis, and claim compensation for unlawful processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@parentra.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu).
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy, subject to applicable law.
